Ok, Elphame's Choice is a book that I currently read by P.C. Cast, the co-author of the House of Night novels. This book follows Elphame, a teenage girl touched by her Goddess, as she leaves her home to go and restore the MacCallan Castle. She is followed on her journey by her brother Cuchulainn, who is worried about his sisters future, for it is clouded to him, he can sorta see the future. While restoring the castle, Elphame creates new friends which she has never had before because she is different. One of the people she meets during the restoration of the castle is Lochlan, her soul mate. Now, I don't now about you, but I like a bit of romance in my fantasy books, so this made me very happy:). When these two lovers meet though, they have a lot of problems to solve before they can be completely and openly together.... does it have something to do with Lochlan's ancestors? I think so, but I won't divulge no more details, you will just have to read for yourself. This book has a sequel which is supposed to come out this month called Brighid's Quest. I look forward to soon purchasing and reading this book, and I shall tell you about it when I do.
